Marco Alexandre is the lead freshwater ecology specialist and the director of Ecotone Freshwater Consultants. He holds a Masters Degree in Aquatic Health from the University of Johannesburg, is a registered Professional Natural Scientist as well as an accredited South African Scoring System version 5 (SASS5) practitioners. Over the years Marco has gained experience in hydropower and environmental flow assessments in Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda. He has extensive experience in aquatic ecology assessments, biomonitoring, impact and wetland assessments both nationally and internationally, aimed at determining baseline conditions and ascertaining the associated sensitivity of the receiving aquatic environment, determining perceived impacts and providing suitable recommendations and mitigation measures.
